Which Heroes Qualify for Homes for Heroes in Tennessee?

Homes for Heroes serves five targeted hero groups:

  • Law enforcement: police officers, state troopers, correctional officers, federal law enforcement agents, and 911 dispatchers and operators
  • Military and veterans: active duty, reservists, National Guard, veterans, and Department of Defense personnel in every branch
  • Healthcare: nurses, doctors, surgeons, specialists, technicians, assistants, and healthcare educators and trainers
  • Educators: K-12 teachers, professors and post-secondary educators, school administrators, and homebuyer education professionals

Active, former, and retired members of each group qualify. There are no income limits, no credit score thresholds, and no first-time buyer requirement.

Eligibility as published by Homes for Heroes, October 2026. Not sure your role qualifies? Jai confirms eligibility with Homes for Heroes when you sign up through her Homes for Heroes page.

What Are the Hero Rewards Savings Benefits?

When heroes work with Homes for Heroes affiliate real estate specialists they receive Hero Rewards® savings when buying or selling a home. Heroes save an average of $3,000 on a single transaction on either a purchase or a sale. Heroes who both sell their current home and buy a new one save an average of $6,000 combined*. Actual savings scale with the purchase price of your home so the higher the price the greater the Hero Reward.

The savings come as a Hero Rewards check in the mail after closing. No red tape. No hidden fees. No catch. It is Homes for Heroes’ way of saying thank you for your service.
